Kathy Whooley, PT, OCS, CSCS, CPI

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University Sargent College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1976, and earned an MBA from Pepperdine College in 1982. She has practiced in a variety of patient care settings including pediatrics, acute, geriatric, sports medicine, rehabilitation and private practice, and has taught at Children's Hospital and Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles. She received her Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist Certification (OCS) in 1992 and was re-certified in 2001. She also earned her Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2001 (CSCS).
Kathy is also active in the "professional community" as a continuing education course instructor and a member of the APTA, California Private Practice Special Interest Group and the Larchmont Boulevard Association. An avid golfer with an (8)handicap, she has been the fitness consultant to the Wilshire Country Club since 1998. She earned her certification with the USGFA as a golf-specific fitness trainer in July 2001.

Jeanna-Marie Barsamian, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS

Jeanna-Marie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California. She has completed a 12-month manual therapy course to advance her orthopedic skills. Jeanna-Marie is certified by the ABPTS as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Her undergraduate studies were in Athletic Training from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She holds credentials as a certified athletic trainer (ATC) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Jeanna-Marie provides coverage for high school sports, including football and a variety of sporting events including the Boston Marathon and the National Olympic Gymnastics Tournament. She continues to advance her skills by attending several continuing education courses each year, such as Back Education Training, Kinesio Taping, Gait for Pain Relief, PNF and functional orthopedics and Integrative Training for the millennium. Her emphasis is on functional and sport-specific training integrating both trunk stabilization and manual therapy techniques. Jeanna-Marie is the clinical center coordinator of education for physical therapy students at the clinic as well as the senior physical therapist. She is a member of the APTA, NATA, and NSCA. She enjoys coaching volleyball, and playing basketball, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling and hiking.

Diana Reiss, DPT, OCS

Diana attended the University of Arizona where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Diana was awarded the degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. In addition, she completed a 12 month manual therapy course to advance her orthopedic skills. She is experienced in treating patients with both orthopedic and neurological musculoskeletal disorders, including pre-op/post-op, sports injuries, chronic pain, arthritis and more. Diana is a current member of the Americal Physical Therapy Association and the orthopedic section and was certified as an Orthopaedic Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2007. She is committed to providing a high standard of quality care, and values one-on-one interaction with her patients.

Birgitta Mattson, PTA CKTP

Birgitta is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and fitness trainer. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner, and is studying for Strength and Conditioning Certification. She has over ten years of experience in athletic and fitness training, focusing on sports rehabilitation, family workouts and post-pregnancy. Birgitta is broadening her experience through continuing education and as a therapeutic exercise lab instructor, and has designed videos for back stabilization programs. She enjoys a variety of indoor and outdoor sports and completed the 1999 and 2000 AIDS Rides. Birgitta plays professional football - playing four years for the Long Beach Aftershock - and will continue playing for the California Quake. Currently, she is coaching youth football Sports background includes water polo, swimming, tennis, weight lifting and golf.
